Ever tried 3D for tattoo designs but gave up..?
If you ever tried to learn the basics of 3D modeling, you probably have crawled thru a lot of articles, countless YouTube tutorials and come to the conclusion that it is just too time consuming to have any real practical advantage in designing references and designs for tattoos.
The reality is, that it truly is complicated and long journey if one wants to become a 3D artist for example in gaming: You would need to learn how to create complicated and visually pleasing models with low polycount, create rigging and animations for them and much more.
BUT WE DO NOT.
For us as tattoo artists, the model and design only needs to work and exist primarily inside ONE app that allows us to render and export it as an image.
We don´t need to respect the rules that other industries have with 3D.
Right now we have two applications with iPad, that allows us to create a simple workflow: Nomad sculpt and Procreate. In the future we probably will have many others but..
What makes Nomad sculpt so exceptional for us as professional and passionate tattoo artists, is the live PBR (Physically Based Rendering) that basically means that you have access to all the post processing tools, from adjusting depth to how strong your shadows are, while abiding the laws of light interaction with matter - inside the app!
In other words, simulating reality to get the best possible reference for your tattoo design.

And since we don´t need to respect most of the rules, we might as well ignore the learning curve that follows those rules.

These tutorials are made to be simple and easy to understand. We made them as a walk thru and we will include the models that are used in the lessons: You get to learn while creating at the same time!
Learn the basic functions of Nomad Sculpt with ease
The first tutorial will already introduce you to all the basic functions that you need to start creating.
And no. You do not need any experience from 3D modeling!
All our tutorials are made to be affordable and always allow you to CREATE and have fun. You are able to create original designs from each tutorial, learn a new skill and harness your creativity into actual tattoo designs that you can create on your client’s skin the next day if you wish!
And if you go through all tutorials, you will be able to create those low poly models for other purposes (like creating a character for games) and open even more possibilities to use your skills in the ever changing world.
